Given the syllabus material we teach, we cannot accommodate pupils below 8 years old.

We can discuss your options before you make your decision. The choice is usually a personal preference.

Not compulsory. But we recommend you do. There are many benefits moving forward.

Some folks shudder at the thought of doing Music Theory. But again, the benefits of having even a fundamental knowledge of theory, is significant in honing your instrument or voice skills.

Not surprisingly, this question is often asked. We can walk you through the various disciplines to assist your decision making.

How do you know if you don’t try (a little assistance always helps). We have tools that allow early assessment of your voice and ear.

Many, many, choices out there. We ahve relationships with various instrument suppliers and will assist with some facts so that you are able to make an informed decision.

Except for the actual drum notation, it can generally be said that music theory is the same for all instruments or voice. The level of application will differ in say classical versus contemporary music. 

The Popular Theory syllabus encompasses all the elements in a modern band.

Absolutely Yes. During 2020 exams were submitted internationally  in video format, as well as on-line envigilated sessions.

The Music Production syllabus is designed to be used in any DAW of your choice..

The answer in short  is –  it is highly recommended that you have or acquire at least a working knowledge of a keyboard/midi controller. 

About The Trinity London Rock & Pop Syllabus

We facilitate tuition of the Trinity College London, modern music syllabus  ROCK & POP. This syllabus includes material in most popular music styles including Rock, Pop, Blues, Hip Hop, R&B and more,  for the ; KEYBOARD, GUITAR, BASS GUITAR, DRUM KIT AND VOCALS.
This syllabus is generally less theory orientated and very practical in it’s delivery, and facilitates from absolute beginners (Initial level), and through Grade 1 to the very advanced Grade 8.
The recommended 30 minute individual lesson per week is adequate to work through the syllabus at a manageable pace.

 

About The Rockschool London (RSL) Syllabus

RSL’S POPULAR THEORY is the essential syllabus for contemporary musicians, and includes music notation for Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals and Keyboard and essential BAND analysis principles.

RLS’S  MUSIC PRODUCTION  The aim of the musical production syllabus is to provide a flexible, progressive mastery approach to the knowledge, skills and understanding required for music production. The content includes –Music production terminology, Sound and audio fundamentals, and Developing listening skills with a specific focus on Sonic fidelity, Music theory and harmony, and Stylistic awareness
Included too, are Coursework tasks to develop technical skills
